yeah, odd salsa music.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Overall this was not a great night. Especially disappointing ballroom by non-ballroom couples; usually they are not THAT bad.
I liked that last number a lot, but I wasn't as impressed with the "I Will Always Love You" routine as the judges were. The song is so manipulative now, I think it overshadows anything set to it.
Why do they want Eliana to dance? I think she's incredible, and much as I like Cyrus, she's holding their routines together on her own.
They have a hard pick with the girls, I think. I think (I hope) she's going to knock their socks off - she's one of my favorites.
Amber loses points for dancing to Lana Del Rey. Faugh.

Yes.
I'm going to be crushed whichever girl they pick. Ugh.
Stupid America! And Nigel agrees.
Oh, god, the room to grow line.
I knew they would cut Amber.
Are they going to cut couples every week? It's absurd.
Lindsay should have gone home. In my mind, anyway.
They play a "rough neighborhood" for Brandon, but I am pretty sure he has an undergraduate degree in engineering. [Edit: not that that precludes him being from a rough neighborhood, but that's not where he's at at this point in his life.] I really liked him; classy guy. Not enough of a "room to grow" narrative; he knows who he is (he's 27.)
