Between this and finding out that Kat Von D has her own high-end clothing line (which I'm certain she designed, no really), I more than ever wish I could start my own damn fashion house.

I will say that there's being able to sew, and there's being able to sew. "Home-sewn" is one of the worst insults the designers give each other. So it's not that she couldn't make some fabric into a garment in four hours, it's that she couldn't do it well and make a good garment.

I fell asleep last night trying to watch PR, so that's not a good sign. Wanted to smack the 22 year old Christian wannabe repeatedly. Honey, you are no Christian even on his bitchiest day. Can't wait for him to go home. I am grooving on the Brazilian dude. He seems like good people.

And I finally watched SYTYCD today. I have thoughts . . . so, so many thoughts. I actually feel almost overwhelmed with everything living in just one episode this year. Group dance! Partner dance! Movie plug! Guest stars dance! Bottom three! Boot a contestant! Tear stained dance out! It is too much.

Kathryn continues to be a marvel. She's such a gorgeous dancer. It's like she's not even real. Oh, that little high talker. Who woulda thunk it? Seeing that level of hip hop on the stage just made me mad. Why do we have to suffer through NappyTab and sub-par Christopher Scott (who really did not bring it this week) when there is real hip hop out there just waiting to be had. Also, I'm so seeing Step Up Revolution. The High Talker and Twitch and Mia and Peanut? Hells yeah!

My favorite dance of the night was that Foxtrot. It wasn't flashy like the two Sonya pieces but I adored it so, so much. George, y'all. He's everything! I'm already so over Cyrus, I just can't. Poor Noodle. He's trying so, so hard, but he is just not prepared to be on this show and it is painful to watch people choreograph around him. Hiding him downstage crouched down next to a fake tree during the group number? Oh, no. No. And I can't even with that jive. Excruciating. I just. Slowest jive ever on the show? I think maybe yes. And yet, he still was struggling to keep up. And yet, I still think it was wrong of the judges to play the poor, poor Eliana card. I felt so bad for Cyrus while they basically sat there telling her that she could be doing so much better in the competition if not for the fact that her partner is just not up to the task. Boo.

So glad to see Alexa gone. Well done on that one, Ameriker. Such a heavy dancer. And no soul? Bingo. She is dead inside. And she totally took Daniel down with her. If you're wondering why he went home rather than Chehon (because obviously Nick was going home) look no further than the blonde void. Chehon and Witney have good chemistry and the judges were not going to break up a couple with the potential to spark. Plus, Eurotrash Danny is so, so pretty. And he's a good dancer. He did a really great job with that Bollywood. That number was yard's better than whatever it was Alexa and Daniel were doing in that bathtub to Yanni. Yanni? What? Why? That was the kiss of death from the jump. I think Daniel could've hung on with a different partner, but that's the way it goes.

Other thoughts? I really enjoyed that Sean Cheesman Broadway. Why they keep letting Tasty do Broadway on the show remains a huge mystery to me. That was fun and I kinda get the Brandon thing now (though I'm still not sold). I do believe that the Brandon/Amber pairing will be the first stable, pre-Top 10 black couple on the show. I think that's kind of weird after all these years. I hope they don't get ballroom next week because that would be three weeks in a row for Amber. Chase staying in the nerd character throughout judging (and maybe all week if Nigel is to be believed) was off putting. It's never that serious, sweetie. You're not De Niro. I feel like Big Pasty 2 really turned it out in that Sonya choreography with Amelie. She worked my nerves with the weird smiling at inappropriate moments, but I still kinda like her. I did not buy the couple in the other Sonya routine. They weren't bad, but I don't think either of them were particularly dangerous or tough. They're both too pretty.

I would like to see Lindsey and Cyrus go home next week (assuming we'll boot just two). I'm not sure that will happen. I think we're stuck with Cyrus for a while longer. Maybe Darien? Bad feet was good in a so-so routine and the thing with Janelle is just not clicking. They both might go.

Cyrus and Janelle were early favorites for me, but after this week I think neither one is capable of branching out too far from their own niches. I didn't vote for either of them this week.

I also watched Project Runway tonight. I pretty much agree with what everyone else said.

My thing is usually being appalled at what Heidi is wearing to judging. This time it was WTF was Nina thinking with that ghastly bejeweled number???

Sadly, no--this project I'm on has NO sites in SF!! Boo. But I was going to say to Kat/bon bon/anyone in LA that I'm in town and free this coming Wednesday, and would be happy to pick up some food and bring it to someone's house...

Heh. I know, I'm so disappointed its not out THIS week, because I totally would've gone to the movies tonight. Ah well.

There are still so many dancers, I barely know their names or remember what they did. I really liked the Sonja Amelie/Pasty number, and the foxtrot was surprisingly unpainful. I totally noticed Cyrus hiding during the opening number and rolled my eyes--he looked awfully pretty before they started dancing all half-shirtless in the jive, but that's about all I can say for that. I did think Eliana was pretty awesome.

But having it all rolled up in one week PLUS the Step Up dancers, and all that? Madness. I think I would've liked it better if I knew going into it that night who the bottom three (or however many) were. Then I could at least watch those numbers with some extra anticipation. I think it would scare the crap out of the dancers, but maybe just tell the audience and not them? Or something? Anyway, glad Alexa is gone. Dead inside indeed.
