Oh my god, that's exactly his POV.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Hahaha!
The After The Runway or whatever was a hot mess last night -- a lot of unpleasantness.
And for production of Mondo's dress, they added a tie in the back, so it could have some shape. Probably still not a good look for me, but maybe better for more than just mannequins.
I'd agree with you that Kenley in general makes more wearable clothes than Michael (you are so right about his POV, brenda! At least it's a market, I guess), but for this particular challenge I think leaving out that keyhole detail that she's discussed was what killed her. It sounded to me like it changed the price point for the finished garment, which would affect what she could spend on fabric. Which is a shame that that's the thing that sent her home, but it wasn't a smart decision on her part.
That said, I was surprised Michael didn't include the fasteners he had discussed with Joanna, though maybe there was the understanding that that was a thing that could be added for production and wasn't strictly necessary on the runway. Though he also changed the back so that you couldn't really make it bra-friendly.

It's cute, but it ain't $298 cute, for me. And somehow the tie in the back just ruins it (again, for me). Still, glad to see Mondo get to show off the way he mixes prints.
I was disappointed, but I don't like either of them. Michael made the same damned dress for a size zero woman with no boobs. I think that Nanette really liked the keyhole detail, so she was really disappointed when Kenley changed the design to keep the print.
And then Kenley did a terrible job of using the print!
I know I say this every time I'm home during the day, but god, I love Tabatha's Salon Takeover.
"It's really sad that Debbie's such a fuckwit."
Tabatha is awesome. I watched, like, four episodes in a row one day, and I was transfixed.
And then Kenley did a terrible job of using the print!
It kills me that she has such a great eye for them, and how to use them, and then she's completely sloppy with matching seams and stuff.
I think we all need our own personal Tabathas. Seriously. I watch her show every week and I just LOVE how direct she is and she is RIGHT.
Her producers have been excellent at picking the correct locations.
It's interesting how they are all the same though. The salons are always filthy, the stylists are always in need of education, and the manager always needs to have/enforce some rules. Despite this, it does not stop me from watching and loving the show.
