oh man, should I start taping ANTM again??
Not with what I've seen so far.
I'm not very far into PR, but I really like the idea of the challenge.
ANTM - possibly the only show worth watching was the makeover. I wasn't all that impressed, although the US/UK bitchiness competition has its moments.
PR: I have to say, knowing the estimated retail prices of those dresses made me like all of them less. Like, yeah, pretty, but $300 pretty? No. Mostly, I am astounded to learn the relationship between the cost of fabric and the price of the finished garment. Now I'm really curious how the cost of the fabric for this challenge compares to Mood prices for similar material.

Exactly. That was sort of shocking.
I would have given the win to Austin over Mondo, because while that dress was cute, only stick-thin girls can wear it well. Austin's coat would flatter everyone, I thought.
I was also astounded they kept Michael over Kenley. She may be annoying, but her style is much more commercial than Michael's, who really does seem to make the same dress all the time now. Which is also only flattering to stick-thin women.
I really disliked Austin's coat. I don't know, I generally like swing coats but the sort of pleatedness of that one I found unpleasant. Nobody really hit a home run on this one, for my money. Mondo's would at least look swell on a mannequin in the window, or whatever Neiman Marcus does.
What Amy said about Kenley. So much more versatile - which I almost can't believe I'm saying, but at least her stuff is broadly wearable. NO ONE can wear most of Michael's stuff.
That said, when the judges are all "we don't know your point of view!" I don't get it. His POV is perfectly clear. It's Real Housewives of Miami.
Oh my god, that's exactly his POV.
Hahaha!
The After The Runway or whatever was a hot mess last night -- a lot of unpleasantness.
And for production of Mondo's dress, they added a tie in the back, so it could have some shape. Probably still not a good look for me, but maybe better for more than just mannequins.
