I am a Christian who goes to church (almost) every Sunday. But the religious talk on Survivor always throws me, especially this year. They seem so into it. And maybe this is easy for me due to my lawyer-ness, but I would have no problem suspending normal rules of morality in a situation which is totally artificial and a certain amount of amorality is expected.
I hope we get to hear from some of the cult members and see if they were really buying this or just playing along for some reason.
I feel like Coach is stoking the cult fires, I assume because he thinks it will help him, but maybe not because he is so into it (although I haven't seen tonight's ep yet).
I don't think anyone here watches the show, but I am alarmed to learn that Howard Stern will be a judge on America's Got Talent next season.
I guess I will stop watching that show cold turkey.

I think Coach totally enjoys being a cult leader, but I also think the Christian angle is something he was playing up to keep Brandon in line. In past season's he's been all about the generic faux-Eastern mysticism.
OMG Pot Ledom. I can't imagine it's anything about her personal life (unless, Tyson????), because ANTM lives for that shit.
OMG, Top Chef! That was BRU-TAL.
Survivor: As much as I could not stand Brandon for a minute, especially after he blamed Michaela for "causing" him to be attracted to her by being tall and good looking (which he was not called on at the Reunion show as I was hoping he would be), his entire family refused to support him and come to the Reunion show? pretty sad. They needed Dr. Phil on that one.
I think that a show with Brandon vs. Russell would be too uncomfortable a train wreck to watch, though; what was Jeff thinking?!
I'm sorry Ozzydidn't win. At least he got the audience vote for the consolation prize. It would have been really hard to be on that jury. I was hoping someone would ask if they could refrain from voting for anyone. Coach blew it by sticking to his original three. It was a Colby. He stuck to his guns, and in so doing, lost. Sophie as the winner. Eh, good for her.
The setting for the show was fabulous. The underwater filming is a big part of the show's attraction for me. I read somewhere that Probst would like it to be there, or a similar setting, if they were to pick a permanent location.
It was a decent enough season. The one that Rob won was tops IMHO, followed by the one where Coach and Courtney were the first members of the jury and started a band at Ponderosa. The Ponderosa episodes were the most fun of that season, really great.

not enough watch from the hall in the world.
As much of a tool as Brandon is, god damn is that one messed up kid. He's kind of heartbreaking.
apparently, one blogger thinks Hantz vs. Hantz will actually happen.
I think it is straight up bullshit and I will skip that season.
Sucklord's Work of Art Critic Action figures.
That is a totally awesome idea!
Even though much of what they created was a bit lame, I really do like this show, especially the fact that it is pretty drama-and diva-free.
