Double legs are murderously tiring, so they may all be staggering across the finish line before they're done. The teams left are very competent, but we will see even more drop your tickets or bike off in the wrong direction.
I agree with the onair commentary that Ernie does a good job of calming down Cindy.
Amani rocks as hard as Marcus, who rock as hard as the Grandparents. (Loved Cindy's remark that theyd die together of embarrassment as a family. )
I think my problem with the Snowboarders may be the same as the body building judges, they're holding back emotionally, I suspect due to feeling way out of their Capital-C Christian world.
There was a blink and you'll miss it mention from one of the snowboarders about old injuries that make it hard for him to do some of the poses. That may be hindering them with this challenge.
But, like with the recital, the judges also seem to be really looking for crowd engagement. Which makes sense, since it really is a performance.
I suspect due to feeling way out of their Capital-C Christian world.
I just can't see the world of professional snowboarders as being that pious.
I thought it was the injuries, myself.
I loved Amani coaching Marcus on the bodybuilding movements: hilarious.
The moves were more yoga-like than I expected, or maybe that's my own experience talking.
Also, I loved the HCA impersonator. Also fiendish task much? Having to memorize, then navigate on a bike in a strange city.
Daaaaamn, Pentatonics. If they don't win, I don't know what. And on the record deal/career front, it's so much likelier that they'd be successful as a professional group with only five people, no?
Okay, Pentatonix is rocking my world on "The Sing-Off." And 3 of the 5 members of the group are only 19 years old! Un-freakin-believable.
That number was fantastic.
And 3 of the 5 members of the group are only 19 years old! Un-freakin-believable.
Of course, all the college kids (Aires, Afro Blue, etc) are about that age, too. It's the arrangers who really impress me at that age -- we know teenagers can sing!
Oh, I don't think I commented on this at the time, but remember a couple of weeks ago when that Michael from the Aires was saying he was now considering a career in music, and the judges were like, "Dude. What
else
were you going to do??" Dudes. He's at
Dartmouth.
You know his parents aren't paying that kind of money for their kid to be a struggling artist!
