This is interesting aout Big Brother [link]
You'll have to scroll down, but NOW is asking that people call/write and protest that Dick has been verbally abusing female contestants, especially Jen, without being told to stop. Evidentally he's said if he wasn't in the house he'd kill her and he dumped a drink on her and said he wished it was piss.
I haven't been following BB all that closely but I know that Dick has been getting a favorable edit on CBS and that those watching Show Time 2 and the live feeds have seen that he's been mean to all the women and doing things like berating them or being mean and then later wanting a hug or sort of apologizing.

I didn't know that the Girls Gone Wild guy was on BB
I had to steal this from TWOP because it is hilarious. For you SYTYCD fans. It will make a Mia lover out of you!

Yeah, I was reading (in a TWOP recap?) about how CBS can't even show the actual bad shit that he does, so he comes off looking not so bad, which, ugh. And why is he still in the house, then???
Here's the TWOP paragraph, although I lost the link. It's from the penultimate recap:
She and Dick talk in the bedroom, gloating and rejoicing, and I bet he's so happy, he could just go beat the shit out of a guy he found too "princessy." Or kill a woman and rape her corpse, as he recently "joked" about doing to the departed Carol on the live feeds. Dick has, as you may or may not know, made graphic references to raping both Jen and Dustin, none of which CBS is really in a position to show, which is the irony of his behavior -- the more outrageous it is, the more they can't even really convey it on a network show even if they want to. Even with bleeping, even if they were desperate to bust him, they can't include enough information in an 8:00 prime-time show to make it clear that a guy is getting his kicks fantasizing out loud about raping a woman until she bleeds to death. Everyone who has noted that this problematic paradox of "the worse you are, the less they can show it" has kept him looking more like a silly rebel and less like a psycho is absolutely right. I don't think this stuff is omitted from the broadcast because anyone likes him; I think this stuff is left out because anal rape is not the stuff of prime-time diverting summer TV. CBS doesn't want to fill its 8:00 hour with violent rants. And if you leave out everything he says and does that's way off of the FCC's permissible grid, there's not much left other than his whining about wanting things to be better with Daniele.
BB has had all host of racist sexist crap since Season 1. I engaged in a letter writing campaign in Season 1 when there were a set of racist jokes told over some beers at night.
I'm actually surprised that this is the season when all manner of crap may break loose. It would happen the year after Malin won BB All-Stars!
Top Chef: Oh, man. You know, I was just having a conversation recently about Men, and Tre is a
Man.
Top Chef: I did not see that ending coming.
I saw it coming, but was in serious denial.
Top Chef: Aw, bye Trey! You went out like a real class act. While I was happy for Team Garage's comeback, why couldn't it have been Howie? Having to see him cook one more pork dish is gonna make me want to holler.
ETA: I saw it coming, too, and was very sad. But the Brians managed to keep it together this time and Trey was responsible for the least favorite dish of the night and as Exec. chef, he was running the ship but still let Casey's less than stellar fish dish get served. And they did kinda just coast on being the (on paper) stronger team.
ION, I am ridiculously excited for Tim Gunn's new show. Let's all pray that Veronica Webb has taken some elocution lessons since her days on House of Style. I'm not even mad at Tim for shamelessly ripping off What Not to Wear. Well, maybe a little bit mad, but I'll get over it.
