What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am watching Monsters-In-Law on A&E (a reality show about bad in-laws). It is a trip and a half. These in-laws are REALLY bad.

Anyone else catching this?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I thought it was going to be watch-from-the-hall bad, so avoided. The only reason I can think that families would agree to be on it is that each side believes it's the other half that will get a comeuppance.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

the first one, the situation was resolved enough that they took a family vacation together! So I think they are going on the show because they don't have the wherewithal to resolve the issues themselves.

BTW, I love that the judges get along.

Did you notice during one of Nick's talking-to-the-camera moments, Shawn and Ben doing weird arm gestures in the far background? Then Shawn was trying to get Sara to join him but she just kept her arms down. Heh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I love those three! And I realized that what I appreciate about Sara is that even when she's only saying good things, at least she's saying specific positive things. Not just "That was great!"

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm so glad you guys got me hooked back on the Sing-Off. I would have forgotten about it. Now I just need to remember that I don't hate the judges and don't have to fastforward through them. I was all nodding along to Ben saying they should have lowered part of the harmonies by a third. And then I was all, wait, that was intelligent, music theory accurate critique. I don't know how to listen to that!

I know!!

I'm watching The Sing-off for the same reason I watch SYTYCD: because the contestants can actually perform at the highest level, otherwise they don't make it on the air.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I was just asked to do make-up for a photoshoot for the Yellow Jackets because of The Sing Off. I said no, because they are neither paying nor providing make-up.

Seriously? That's a load of crap! Although I guess if you were a makeup artist, you'd have a bunch of supplies? But then you wouldn't be working for free, either.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Still loving The Sing Off, still loving Afro Blue. Although, I do think they cheated the category a little bit last night. Having Wyclef say "One time" over and over does not make Killing me Softly a hip hop song. It's an R&B ballad done by a rap group. Whatever, I still loved it. I haven't bought any of their singles, but should they win, I would seriously consider buying their album.

I'm also loving Pentatonix. They made me enjoy Love Lockdown which is a miracle since I don't like either that song or Kanye. They are just really good. But I think I had the most fun with Club Can't Even Handle Me Right Now. those kids just make me smile.

And I agree with everyone that knowledgable judges who can disagree without being disagreeable and provide relevant critiques to contestants is amazing. Sara is such an upgrade over the Scherzinger I almost can't fathom it. They really lucked out that Simon plucked her for The X-Factor (which is terrible, btw. half the people can't even sing)

TAR: I was disappointed in all the Jesus talk from the snowboarders. Not that I have anything against Jesus. He's just alright with me. But I felt they definitely went a little bit over the top. I'm going to chose to think that they were being prompted by questions we weren't hearing to make some of those comments because I don't want to stop liking them as much as I do. I also enjoy the grandparents and Amani and Marcus. I want to smack sailor dad. Listen to your son, dude! He has more common sense in his pinky toe than you seem to have in your whole body.
