It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

That was a great episode, with some problems. It was great to see so much dance!

That jibjab thing was annoying. I don't care whether I see them dancing or not, just don't hype something stupid that much when you're going to punk the audience.

Sabra winning? I didn't know she had a voting contingent. I'm sure I'll be wading through a crapload of conspiracy theories on TwoP tomorrow. I'm sorry Danny didn't quite make it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

watched on tivo delay. My first thought was -- what the fuck is Cat Deeley wearing? Who did she piss off in wardrobe?

Loved seeing the hummingbird again. Also enjoyed Nigel dropping the hint about "alternates",

I think that Sara must have been a little bitter, being in three favorite routines with three different partners. I think that Lacey was only in one favorite, and that was the one that she got eliminated on.

Who did she piss off in wardrobe?

SERIOUSLY. Just....hideous.

Plus, she is so tall in her heels and that skirt is just a weird length, I kept waiting for one of the shorter gals to just get swallowed by the skirt.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Hated the dress, and while I may like clothes or not, I rarely hate them.

Tickled to see the hummingbird. Loved seeing Jesus and Sara and oddly enough Jaime. Also oddly enough, I was meh on Hok, who I normally love.

I was annoyed by the jibjab thing, but the annoyance was overwhelmed by the huge sense of relief that they weren't really dancing.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Man, I was happy that it came down to Sabra or Danny. With either of them winning, I would have been happy. I was most proud of Danny, because he obviously got so much out of the competition, but I'm pleased that Sabra won--not just because a woman won the competition, but I think she exemplified the other side of the competition: meeting every challenge set against you, and doing so with grace and ability. I found her skill to dance in every situation with such aplomb more than deserving of the competition title.

That said, had Danny won, it would have worked just as well for me.

The whole show, though, could have benefitted from different structure. And not repeating all the same dances. Dude, this was a three month show, and all the clips are up on Youtube. It's not like we forgot what the dances were. But at least it wasn't a clip show. I felt for Sara, because they seriously ran her on this show, for having been cut. Most of the dances I felt lacked energy, which is understandable given the 130 performances these dancers, and the fact that nearly all of them had been cut. Though both Sara's disco and the West Coast Swing actually were better this time around, which I think shows her capability for growth. I think she's going to be a stunner on the tour. Which I wish that I could go to. Damn England!

All in all, a very satisfying season. Except for Cat's clothing.

but even that was satisfying in a wierd way. If she hadn't worn something horrible, I think that I would have been a little disappointed. I mean, when Kelly Wearstler stopped wearing the ridiculous outfits on Top Design, it was kind of a letdown.

That's true! It was always entertaining to find out which odd cocktail dress she'd be wearing that week. And really, she had the body to pull even the craxiest of them off.

I don't have a problem with the dress. She has the body for almost anything, and you know, if she can't be a peacock and just go nuts, who can? I get enough tasteful black cocktail numbers. Who gets to wear the crazy feather dresses? The amazonian host of a dancing show, that's who!

Librarian Warlord

Tonight was the Dean's Reception for incoming students. It's when she gives the welcome speech, and tells us all the interesting things the students have done before they start school. She's telling us that one has been a reporter, one has been a baker, etc., ad then she says, "and one of you was a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance..."

I guess I know what research I have to do on Monday a.m.
