Nope, I've never seen it like that. I've always seen it as Bombs Over Baghdad. I didn't know what song they were talking about at first. Weird. Was it the "bombs" that was not OK? Was it the "Baghdad"? Who knows?
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I'm watching a little behind, so I just saw the wheelbarrow dance with Tadd and Marko, and all I can think is how tired they look.
Perkins,
I agree. I didn't think they needed to dance FOUR routines + solo tonight. Goodness knows what tomorrow brings. Maybe we will just wheel out the remaining contestants on stretchers.
I want to see the Sasha/Twitch dance and the Melanie/Sasha dance. I could also see the paso doble with Sasha. Hmmm, am I perhaps telegraphing my favorite? Although the statue dance was fab, and I loved the vulture dance with Jordan.
Melanie and Sasha work so well together - I think it says something that the boys (and they are boys) don't partner them as well.
And when I saw Mark ... I think I drooled. A little.
I keep checking to see if there's anyone around speculating about what's going to happen tonight. Is everyone stocking up for two hours of uninterrupted SYTYCD? or did I just kill the thread?
Haha. I know I'M certainly excited for two hours of dance tonight. I always love the finale, it isn't even really about who wins - it's such a celebration of dance.
Wow, that was sappy.
S. is taking the kids to a minor league game tonight. I declined the invitation, of course.
Does this mean you'll get the TV to yourself, with no one wanting to watch something else or interrupting you for something IMPORTANT?
Starting with disco and ending with Wellington stomping...really? I completely agree with y'all that the more "experimental" styles should not show up in the final.
I wish they wouldn't show up at all, especially when they are mostly doing "contemporary" otherwise.
I say bring back the old days when the early episodes had 4 (yes, 4) ballroom dances. I don't think it would have changed the results much, but it would have been a more interesting journey.
