I don't understand why they feel the need to use non-normal (for the show, I mean) styles on finale night. I feel like all the choreographers should have an arsenal of "finale routines" or something.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Melanie and Sasha dance better with each other than any other partners.

Yikes. This is NOT the way to end the season.

For such talented dancers this should have been a better finale.

I don't think it's the dancers' fault, really, I think we have not had a lot of particularly strong choreography tonight.

information libertarian

I actually think the finale show is usually not as strong as top 6. Definitely that was the case in S6. Remember that horrible cheerleading piece?

Because books.

Yeah, in Melanie's solo she basically went en pointe barefoot at one point.

This, yes.

I think they also might be overworked in finale week. Four routines plus a solo each, in the time that early in the show they only have to learn one routine, is a LOT to ask of these kids.

Because books.

I would imagine the routines have to be a bit shorter, too, right? To fit them all in? And maybe that doesn't allow enough room for them to develop?

I have "I Feel Love" stuck in my head. Argh.

A lot of the routines seemed to lack energy, I think that they are just tired.
