There's no way she performed *tonight* so I wonder if that's why no shoutout to Mark, as there should have been, over and over. She's on Kimmel tonight, which I'm taping.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Oh, really? I was wondering why Cat wasn't all "Look, it's Mark!" all over the place.
i'm in agreement with the judges on the eliminations. The girls' solos were both blah but Jordan was worse yesterday. I just like Tadd better than Jess, no justification.
Now to watch Project Runway! I hope the casting special will mean less annoying backstory during the competition.
Project Runway seems to have gotten rid of the stuff that was bugging me so much last season, so that's good. I like the first challenge, appropriately weird.
t, based on your sole recommendation, I will watch the first episode.
Is the list of All Stars performing on SYTYCD next week considered a spoiler? Because I'm really excited about a couple of them!
It's still an hour and a half long, but it doesn't feel nearly as bloated. I don't think I fast-forwarded through any of it!
I'm not in love with any of the designers yet, but that's normal for so early, I think.
I do not like this 90-minute format. As a general matter, I mean, not PR specific. Primarily because it makes Tivo conflicts much harder to resolve because they conflict with more shows and don't rerun as often or as soon. (Factoid totally unrelated to my current grump: I forgot to record this one and won't get to until Saturday AM.)
Loved Tadd's solo--that'll be on my best-of dvd for the season. As much as I like Jess's style, his solo was just a rehash of his audition, and he needed to do something that would wow the judges, not the same-ol'-stuff. The girls were both very meh, and I'm hoping that Jordan was eliminated because of her constant reliance on HMV. So tired of her leg extensions!
PR: Excellent challenge! All the snarking about the winner's boxers were confusing me, though--wouldn't they have a washer and dryer there for them to use?
Yeah, the ninety-minute thing is just not right. I don't mind if it's a one-off for the first episode of something, but otherwise, no.
I like Bert so far! He made by far the most interesting, cutest, and most polished garment last night.
Rafael reminded me of Andre 3000, which I just realized this morning.
That's who Rafael reminds me of! I was trying to work it out all episode but I thought it was, like, someone I knew.
I agree, 90 minutes is clown shoes. And I like Bert, that dress was really cute. I am amazed that Anya figured out how to make those pants just "using common sense".
