So apparently all three of the Soul Daddy restaurants from Next Great Restaurant have already closed.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Disappointed about Miranda, indeed, but glad about Robert. Especially since he went out on a "WOO!"
I think it's cool that three (at least?) of the top 8 on The Voice are out gay people.
Yes! That was awesome! Vicci, Nakia, and Beverly! I mean, I suppose any of the rest might be too, but who knows.
Apparently, Tyler is also an out gay person, according to TWOP, who had an excellent "The Voice vs. American Idol" side by side comparison.
ETA: Oops, he wasn't in the top 8--sorry! I'd actually forgotten who he was until after I posted the above and then looked him up.
Dammit, I was just thinking my summer TV schedule was about to open up some, with The Voice being over....and then I saw an ad for Big Brother. Can I just say no??
noooo--I need someone else to watch too!
Oh, shit, they are bringing old people back? OK, I at least have to see who it is.
I'm listening to the Dressage Radio Show and they're talking to the casting director for Full Metal Jousting - a jousting reality contest that will be on the History Channel.
Ohhhh! Travis Wall just tweeted that he was invited to be a guest judge for tomorrow night's SYTYCD! I don't know if he'll be a fourth like Lil' C was or what, but I'm excited! Hopefully he'll give some good constructive criticism!
wouldn't that be nice?
Master Chef: Interesting results last night ... can I discuss (I expect it will be rebroadcast next week) or is it something that needs to be held or put in spoiler font? I was most annoyed that they did a rebroadcast of last week's show on Monday, then substituted a Kitchen Nightmare episode when the new MC was scheduled. grr
One thing I'm noticing is that the people who are good at improvising, coming up with dishes on the spot, are creative but weren't good at replicating someone else's dish.
