I'll be keeping this ep on my dvr just so I can burn that amazing guest performance (the second one, although the first one was excellent, too) onto my best-of dvd at the end of the summer.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Was Nigel smoking crack? He made a comment about Mitchell not being popular with voters because he was consistently in the bottom three. Um... what? He was bottom 3 (4 actually) because of his injury. He wasn't in the bottom 3 last week. So this was the first time voters put him in the bottom.
I was actually pretty sad that they chose Miranda to go home. I would have like to have seen her with a different partner.
It's possibly my Ryan hate but I could swear she was a beat off during parts of the opening number. After I thought I saw that it was very distracting.
I agree Ashley's solo was awful; I kept waiting for the meat of it and it never came. She seems like a dancing robot to me as well, I'm not sure if she's a competition dancer but she comes off very pageant-y. I like Chris, however, and I did enjoy his solo, and I feel like I had seen everything from Robert.
ETA that Nigel seemed flustered during the elims and I assumed he meant Robert's woodpecker dance although he said it to Chris.
It's possibly my Ryan hate but I could swear she was a beat off during parts of the opening number.
I could swear that Ricky barely wanted to touch her while awaiting results. And she was decidedly not the one people went to hug when they were saved. But I'm completely irrational about her at this point.
I thought Chris had a good solo, but I thought they would go for a couple elimination and had no idea that they would not want to save Miranda.
I am stunned that nobody commented on Cat Deely's tragic shoe-boots.
I'm sad about Miranda - I thought she was cute as the dickens (the energy in that jive!) and she SLEW that ridiculous woodpecker hip-hop.
Also, Melanie could have simply walked across the stage and made more of an impression than any of those three terrible female solos.
I didn't even notice Cat's shoes, my attention was totally focussed on the oddity of her hair and was that a flowered romper?
I kind of liked the opening number in it's retroness. I did pause it to feed the cats and didn't feel compelled to rewind to watch it as a whole, though, so guess that says something.
I'm disappointed that Miranda went home. And I'm annoyed that after the first episode clusterfuck that really should have sent Robert home lost me Nick last week and now Robert goes home just a little later. The whole season has been weird elimination-wise, I am disgruntled.
I'm wondering if some dancers have battalions of friends and relatives voting for them to keep them from being in the dreaded bottom three.
So apparently all three of the Soul Daddy restaurants from Next Great Restaurant have already closed.
Disappointed about Miranda, indeed, but glad about Robert. Especially since he went out on a "WOO!"
I think it's cool that three (at least?) of the top 8 on The Voice are out gay people.
Yes! That was awesome! Vicci, Nakia, and Beverly! I mean, I suppose any of the rest might be too, but who knows.
