Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Did Mary Sue really marry Susan's ex-husband??
Can someone explain to me Blake's choice?
My guess is a couple of factors. One, she looked like a goddamn lunatic and two she had no audience appeal -- too old and see number one. She was a better singer but Diya (?) was fine and moldable.
I thought she had a good voice, but was completely over the top, even after he had warned her to tone it down. Much as it's a competition, it's not good form to completely upstage the other person. Especially when you seem a bit loony doing it.
NOW SOMEBODY EXPLAIN THAT INSANE ADAM DECISION PLEASE
OMG
eta: and cee-lo? those were like my favorite auditions! wtf!!!
Honestly, I think Rebecca is a more creative singer, but I didn't think she did as well as I thought she would on that song.
I thought the bigger train wreck was the final number; I have no idea why the Doublemint twins were chosen.
Except for Creep, those were some whack song choices for this type of competition.
I agree megan. I just don't get it. I thought "Creep" was a great choice of a song. Cee-Lo got some bad taste all of the sudden.
Thanks for the comments about Blake's choice. I also don't understand why he paired those two together and why he chose that particular song. I wish he had a blog so I could read about his thought process because I find his whole shit inscrutable.
For Blake's choice, she threw me off because she didn't stick to the melody at all.
or the phrasing.
