We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

For Blake's choice, she threw me off because she didn't stick to the melody at all.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I have not understood any of Blake's pairings or song choices throughout the battle rounds. They've been totally WTF to me. I did understand his choice last night, though. That PK girl was just unlikeable. No one would vote for her which is killer on a reality show based on audience votes. I also thought she oversang the song, just like Blake and Reba told her not to.

I also understood Cee-Lo's choice of song for those particular contestants. Before The Hills drilled that song into the ground, I liked Unwritten. A perfectly acceptable pop trifle. And with internet singing sensation and the Wonder Twins, what else was he really going to give them? I didn't understand his choice at all, but I suppose the next round needs some fodder. I'm going to pretend that the whole thing is strategery on his part. Now Christina, on the other hand, made a terrible song selection for her contestants. It was downright Blake-ian. First of all, Rhianna songs are not songs because Rhianna can't sing (and I like Rhi Rhi!) Second of all, the song was way too low for either of those two very young girls. Third of all, neither one of them sang it well. I guess I get why X-Tina chose the kid from Jersey Girl. She's pretty and has shiny hair. Too bad she can't find the pitch with a GPS. The other girl was not much better, though, and she was older and not as cute, so there you go.

Adam had the best song choice and the best contestants of the night. Again. I do think he has the strongest team in the competition. I would've gone with the girl, but the guy did a good job with the song as well.

I cannot speak on AI. It hurt my soul last night. So, so disappointed. I'm just turning my thoughts ahead to SYTYCD.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

If Fox doesn't, mjsbigblog or rickey should have it. That's how I usually follow, because I'm typically in unpredictable places. meara sent me cd's the year I was at camp last! But I have mobile internet since then, so I should be able to find something.

Because books.

Wait, tomorrow for SYTYCD? (Wow, I forgot already how those initials go.) I had no idea it was so soon.

Who won Idol? Although I don't much care.

Yay SYTYCD!! I no longer have the DVD-burning TiVo hooked up, so I hope you can watch, Liese!
