Hung
I guess I'm not supposed to be amusing myself with imagining this person introducing himself with "Hi, I'm Hung!", am I.

I'm having a hard time seeing Hung as the asshole in this story.
I was expecting to dislike him but find myself unable to do so. He's a little mouthy but not in an off putting way. He seems to treat the others well and can cook. I kinda like him. Or at least respect him.
Whereas Joey? He's like the walking personification of asshole.
He's every bad stereotype of a New Yorker. Except that he's a Long Islander. I want to kick him in both knees. Once for each region.

Ugh, seriously.
And I'm liking Hung, too -- he doesn't seem to have any more attitude than he can back up, so far.
Where was Jamaican Sara in this episode? I hate the early ones with too many characters to keep track of.

I know! It seems they keep liking her at the tasting tables, but then she doesn't quite make the top two. Same with Lia and CJ. Can't wait until some of the deadwood is cleared away so we can get to know who's left.
Did you think that Sarah just thought that they were another sort of pepper?
She might have thought it was a habenero, maybe. I think they can look similiar.
I briefly saw Jamaican Sarah at the bbq site when they were setting up.
At least CJ made the top three in the quickfire. (How can you miss him? He's so darn tall.)
Also, did you guys read Tom C's blog? He totally snarked on Elia.
I got the idea that she knew they were Scotch Bonnets, she just had no idea what that meant. I wish we'd actually seen more resolution on that, actually. Did she make new relish or whatever? Did it just turn out not to be that hot? After her saying that after sitting all night it would be inedible, the issue didn't come up again.
I know! And clearly she figure out a way to make it work. I wonder if she didn't take out some of the peppers and somehow dilute the rest?
sumi, do you have a link to Tom's blog. I'd love to read what he wrote.
Sure.
