Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He's every bad stereotype of a New Yorker.

Ugh, seriously.

And I'm liking Hung, too -- he doesn't seem to have any more attitude than he can back up, so far.

Where was Jamaican Sara in this episode? I hate the early ones with too many characters to keep track of.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Where was Jamaican Sara in this episode? I hate the early ones with too many characters to keep track of.

I know! It seems they keep liking her at the tasting tables, but then she doesn't quite make the top two. Same with Lia and CJ. Can't wait until some of the deadwood is cleared away so we can get to know who's left.

Thrive to spite them

Did you think that Sarah just thought that they were another sort of pepper?

She might have thought it was a habenero, maybe. I think they can look similiar.

Art Crawl!!!

I briefly saw Jamaican Sarah at the bbq site when they were setting up.

At least CJ made the top three in the quickfire. (How can you miss him? He's so darn tall.)

Also, did you guys read Tom C's blog? He totally snarked on Elia.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I got the idea that she knew they were Scotch Bonnets, she just had no idea what that meant. I wish we'd actually seen more resolution on that, actually. Did she make new relish or whatever? Did it just turn out not to be that hot? After her saying that after sitting all night it would be inedible, the issue didn't come up again.

Art Crawl!!!

I know! And clearly she figure out a way to make it work. I wonder if she didn't take out some of the peppers and somehow dilute the rest?

Trust my rage

sumi, do you have a link to Tom's blog. I'd love to read what he wrote.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I forgot SYTYCD was on last night, so I just caught up.

Loved:

Sara and Jesus - the music was "huh?" but they did a great job with the dance itself.

Jesse and Pasha - Jesse was perfect and Pasha really brought it with something other than ballroom.

Jaimie and Hok - Hok is really learning how to partner and they just looked very good.

Lacey and Kameron - they are just one of the cutest couple out there, hothothot and are into each other, it overcomes lame choreography.

Anya and Danny - I won't say I loved them, they did a great job with the technical part, pretty to watch, and Danny was there for his partner for the moves, but there was no real chemistry and Danny, when he wasn't actively partnering, had an arrogant look on his face that said "figjam." Ptui.

Bottom three:

Sabra and Dominic - while he really stepped it up as a partner and learning the moves, he still doesn't look totally comfortable in anything other than B-boying and that shows.

Faina and Cedric - Cedric still hasn't got the hang of partnering and he was so tentative that the dance looked completely unbalanced and awkward.

Shauna and Jimmy - I agree that Shauna is still a little tentative, she needs to let loose just a little bit more, although her stepping was far better than Jimmy's. Jimmy is just too stylized and exaggerated, it's fun to watch, but he always looks like he's onstage by himself because there's no raport with his partner.

TC: I agree with everything everyone else said about Hung and Joey. I'm liking Hung a lot. And he's got chops. I think Hung has a really good shot at the title.

I was glad to see both Sara and Micah make such a comeback from their poor showing in the Quickfire, but I have serious doubts they'll be able to stay in this competition for the long haul. If they're that easily rattled, they'll be out soon enough.

Hoepfully not before Joey goes.
