And not just vampire cape, but vampire cape with a weird Carol Burnett show hanger neckline! When hiphop uses the shoulders so much, but you couldn't even see Legacy's. I was looking forward to seeing a Legacy hiphop, but there was no there there.
I definitely get what you're saying about the other number. Definitely like Mia's piece in what it required from the dancers. (I miss Mia's choreo vocabulary on this show, by the by.) I just liked the difference in the aggression and the strong not beautiful aspect. I think it's part of why I loved the Sonya piece, too, because it uses form in a way I don't often see appreciated. Angular and intense, beautiful in strangeness.
And I liked that Nigel called it out when he said that Legacy was more worried about the cape than the dancing, but that's what he was told to do.
But I didn't like it. Just aesthetically, something didn't sit right with me.
It seemed so small, like Ashleigh was incapable of extending her legs. Her movements seemed tentative instead of sharp.
Results show: NO Kathryn can't go home yet! She should NOT be in danger!
The guest dance troupe was AMAZING.
I had a strong negative reaction to the opening number. Am I the only one? It looks like the dancers didn't know their blocking well enough and there were too many pauses throughout. I thought it was poorly conceived and a poor use of the stage.
Wow, that boys result just surprised me. Nice going, America! You didn't screw it up this time.
I did not like the opening number. guest dancers were amazing. snoop is just ridiculous.
actually wish the men's had gone the other way.
The guest dance troupe was AMAZING.
No lie! I sat here saying "holy crap" out loud several times.

No.

I was thinking the same thing followed by, "This must be a Tasty number." And, there you go.

Yep!!
