So over that. And Dick. I've turned completely around and now I want Jen to win.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Jen has definitely grown on me over the past few episodes. Not saying I would want to have to live with her because she's annoying as hell, but as the rest are showing themselves to be equally, if not more annoying, what has she really done? Dare to play the game? She was smart to put up Dick and Danielle. Dick's just a big bully.
And, sumi, I watched the Las Vegas episode of Design Star. Even got the hubby to watch it with me. Overall, I liked it. I wasn't so sure at the beginning, but it had me drawn in by the end.
Did you watch the first season? Because even given the limited knowledge we have, I think this season's contestants are better than season 1.
re: Design Star
I noticed that, this year, the judges are only judging based on what they see on TV. Was that always the case? I feel like there were walk throughs last year, though I could be confusing it with the other design show.
ETA: Also, I hope the season 3 contestants will finally wise up and realize that if you do a quirky art project for your first challenge, you will go home. It's like the Design Star equivalent of doing dessert on Top Chef.
Nope. I didn't watch the first season. Some of them do seem very talented, though. And I think the right person was sent home.

My husband commented on the no walk through thing. We didn't watch it last year but he was surprised that they only got to see clips of the room instead of actually standing in the rooms themselves.

I thought that was weird, but I guess it actually makes sense given the purpose of the show. Does sort of encourage short cuts and crappy workmanship, though.

But that would make the makeovers like real TV makeovers, no?
(hee)
Wheee!
I love this version of "Whatever Lola Wants"--I've seen an amazing drag number to it. And Sara was pretty good. Danny is freakin' AMAZING.
