You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

re: Design Star

I noticed that, this year, the judges are only judging based on what they see on TV. Was that always the case? I feel like there were walk throughs last year, though I could be confusing it with the other design show.

ETA: Also, I hope the season 3 contestants will finally wise up and realize that if you do a quirky art project for your first challenge, you will go home. It's like the Design Star equivalent of doing dessert on Top Chef.

Nope. I didn't watch the first season. Some of them do seem very talented, though. And I think the right person was sent home.

My husband commented on the no walk through thing. We didn't watch it last year but he was surprised that they only got to see clips of the room instead of actually standing in the rooms themselves.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I thought that was weird, but I guess it actually makes sense given the purpose of the show. Does sort of encourage short cuts and crappy workmanship, though.

But that would make the makeovers like real TV makeovers, no?

Wheee!

I love this version of "Whatever Lola Wants"--I've seen an amazing drag number to it. And Sara was pretty good. Danny is freakin' AMAZING.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

SYTYCD: Hot tango in the old town tonight! I like both Danny and Sara and thought that worked well.

Dominic and Lauren: it's OK, but I think they're not being quite as explosive as they shoudl be. Or something. There's no energy.

I think that the partner bits were lacking. I wasn't crazy about the routine, I want explosive, crisp movements, it lost energy
