You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Okay, that does sound really stupid.

I don't know, there was something about how he seemed to come out of his shell when put in front of actual people (as opposed to just a camera lens) that clicked like one more piece in the puzzle for me.

But that too could just as easily be something that happens to a straight person, so the comment is still stupid.

Nevermind. I clearly have The Stupids.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just when I think I couldn't love him any more!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Crap. The text keeps cutting off between the frames on that page. Anyone else having a problem?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Jag is so gay, holding hands with Paul all show!

Yeah, if I hadn't suspected before, that would have pretty much clinched it for me. That and all of the shirtless antics in the clip reel -- do straight guys spend that much time gigglingly putting things down each others' pants?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Agent Mark Somers, (Code Name: Unctuous Haircut)

I don't even watch anything on Food Network so I have no idea to whom Bourdain is referring, but by God that description is a thing of beauty.

Hec and I were talking about Bourdain the other day: he's living the dream life that so many Buffistas deserve, having found people willing to pay him scads of money, essentially, just to be himself in public. He totally needs to set up a foundation, and then award a grant to the House of Reason, among other worthies.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I can't remember which came first, reading Allyson's pitch chapter ("Save Firefly") or Kitchen Confidential but I remember noting when reading one or the other that she and Bourdain have written similar memoirs. Allyson should have a "No Reservations" but for fandom.

Oh, no way. How is that ever going to work?

I appreciate the creativity, but I'm not sure I can watch a show full of people like that. Although I could probably watch a show with a dozen Rob Marianos. That would be fun.
