Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Things are going to get much much much worse in the very near future for the very long term.

That is a shitty prospect to face. Just remember there is a place on the other side where it will better. Also, just try to deal with the stuff immediately in front of you. It gets too big otherwise.

I'm just happy knowing there's somebody like M. out there. Good schmoop. Teacherly schmoop.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

With no segue whatsoever (any of you ever gotten into a segue-spelling fight? With people that make it segway or segueway? I hate those fights) I present random links:

Marvellous sandcastles. I don't know if I've ever made one. And I spent half my childhood in Jamaica.

Weird idea for a site, but very clean and useful.

Guesses about the true nature of the Cloverfield project movie.

Eliza Dushku looking very pleased, with her boyfriend, some baseball guy.

Which baseball guy? Is she dating Brad Penny?

Ayup.

Why am I still up? I slept so little last night, and I'm farting around on the webs past 11. Der.

Good night!

Huh. Well, he's way richer than she is, and he's already won a world series so I guess he's worthy of holding her hand.

Hey, Nilly!

SA and I called it a night and are now in our respective beds. Even the funny of tv was not enough to keep us awake. We anticipate new thread in the morning. Coffee is preplanned...

t Waves at Cass (say hi to SA for me, OK? Probably only in the morning, but still)

Natter is dying very, very slowly.

I wonder if I'll be here in front of a computer when it's over. I have to go early today to do lots of grading for tomorrow. Oh, and hopefully to finally get my HP7 copy. I wish I had to grade that instead, but I don't think any of my students is Rowling in disguise. Unless she is really good with Hebrew, and managed to learn physics while writing all those books. And in that case, why doesn't she translate her own books into Hebrew herself?

[Edit: oh, and in our let's-whine-some of the day, I still don't have shoes for my sister's wedding. Which is this Friday. And I've looked everywhere I can think of.]

I am thinking that this is a lovely and good idea. Physics is good to know, you know...

I shall greet the SA in the morning. We set up coffee tonight so the first one up can hit the machine and then hit the other. I am not really placing bets. Except she's been on the east coast so I expect to have a pillow throw at my head sometime. But we were both stupid tired earlier.

How are you doing, darling Nilly?
