"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Other random note: a bulb syringe to suck snot out of noses is one of my favorite parent-of-newborn tools. But as much as I love and depend on it, Noah hates it in equal an unabashed measure.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Lee: Be strong, little one, and watch an FNL cast video.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Cool. I will have to watch that when I get home (no sound card in this computer).

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yeah, Theo -- the DC 365 Main is down, which has a load of high profile sites. None of the backup generators kicked in (which 365 charges a fortune for). It's being unofficially blamed on a drunk causing the power outage. All hail alcohol!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ah -- from BoingBoing:

Massive power outage in SF's Soma district takes many websites offline
Scott Beale says,

6 back-to-back power outages hit the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco Tuesday afternoon causing major havoc with popular web services. 365 Main is down, along with craigslist, Netflix, Technorati and SixApart.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Next year (if God continues to hate me and I'm still here), I'll institute a punishment system that involves their stipends. Late assignments, $50? don't attend a required event? $100, etc.

yeah, or if they are expecting anything else from this, letters of rec or help with finding mentors, internships, etc? Useful to point out to them that professionalism counts.

Yeah, they just told us we can all go home, except I have no idea if MUNI is running.

There is nothing saying otherwise on the Muni web site, Megan.

Burrell, to continue the LJ conversation, you have my cell phone #, right? I work 10-6, so meeting up for breakfast would work.

heh. Nothing has been so egregious that I would ding them in a letter of rec., but they don't seem to believe that there are consequences for their actions (or inactions)

Given how whack their own on-site platform announcements are, I have no faith in what they tell me.
