Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

There's no vendors I know about, no.

I'm so overwhelmed trying to plan the book release signing/reading thing at Vroman's, I can't even think about asking another human for another favor.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It's not a favor. The bookseller would be making money.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And I guess they also must just be thinking it's not wrong to do. It's against the rules but not wrong.

Like counting cards in a casino!

Punishingly Intricate

Like counting cards in a casino!

Exactly. That would be really easy for someone with that ability to rationalize. Especially if they thought that everybody they were competing against was also counting cards.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Here's the difference, though, at least to me -- you're playing against the casino (which makes the rules against counting). You're not racing against the cycling federation (which makes the rules against doping).

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

But also, pleased to bring you, courtesy of Suela, possibly the craxxiest person on the internets: [link]

Really? Craxier than the "His wife? A horse." guy? Why yes, I was amusing myself with F_W wiki last night, why?

Borlaug's success in feeding the world testifies to the difference a single person can make.

I think he was part of one of Penn and Teller's Bullshit! shows.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

If I had a nickel for every time I used this boilerplate in a Legal Contract or Other Document:

Because there are many who are from the United kingdoms, this will be a Federal Harassment suite. According to the law in the United States, this is punishable by a number of years in a Federal Penatentraty.
