Talk to Vroman's, since you already have a contact there. Any bookstore can get your book in tomorrow at wholesale price -- it's worth asking if they'd let you take a case along and bring back the money for whatever you sold. They're already ordering in quantity for the book party, and you'll do them some favors by talking them up at the ComiCon event. (They might even send along someone to handle the selling part for you, especially if they have a staffer who's interested in going anyway). This is seriously the kind of thing we did all the time when I was working in an indie (and other stores do it too, but start where you know someone so you don't have to pitch the book before you even start on the remote sale business!)
It turns out the production server I've been using for 10 years for some key stuff ( and I inherited the tasks, so really, longer )? No one knew what it was used for so they unplugged it.
