Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Not that I'm nagging you or anything, but how's the job hunt going, Theo?

Our wings are not tired.

Eeep. Quick painless dental work followed by blissful sleep wishes for you Connie.

It's Monday! I haven't actually done any of that work stuff yet. Guess I should get on that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Well, I've got a couple nibbles asking to see my resume, so that's encouraging. I was able to whip out my networking-specific business cards yesterday when some SF-fan acquaintances said their companies are looking, too. And I've registered for Unemployment (severance runs out next month) so that's starting through its bureaucratic process and should be up and running by the time I start needing the money.

The most difficult part lies ahead -- it looks more and more to me that I'll have to find a non-Notes job, which seems a shame because I'm (not modestly) very good at Notes, but on the other hand, I like mastering new things, and thinking through problem-solving on applications and programs is what I do best, regardless of platform. I have to be able to convince just one little company that I'm worth hiring, can that be so hard? :-)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hey Theo, I hear Librarything is hiring...

Is Lotus still located in Cambridge?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I am horribly tired. This is what happens when you stay up too late reading old school Harry Potter fic, man. UGH.

I'm still wanting to rip the spine out of the crazyperson who claimed she once confronted me about what a big fat liar I am and I backed down.

I wonder: does gravity work on her imaginary planet? Are there shrimp? I mean, I haven't seen delusions of grandeur like this since a friend in high school took me aside and confided that he was one of the X-Men.

The status is NOT quo.

I feel like I'm 12. I'm in the backseat of my mom's car fighting for a square foot of space beside the piles of cardboard boxes stacked up. My mom is being annoyed by my gram (who's the other front seat passenger). Yep, just like old times.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Actually, I'm drunk.

Woo hoo!

Call your parents now!

I endorse this plan.

(Though everything I say has no credence because I'm back in therapy and not ready to talk about the why, but just felt the need to mention that my Crazy, oh my Crazy is big and technicolor.)

I just skipped ahead about 1300 posts to tell all you Wednesday childrens that my dentist's office had it, "Wednesday's child is in the know."

WOOT!

Not that I'm nagging you or anything, but how's the job hunt going, Theo?

Dude, where are your Craigslist links? You're slipping, Scola....

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Tour de France! No spoilers, no coherent thoughts, but dude.

amych, don't think I haven't been obsessing about it, especially as they're hiring in BOSTON!!1! I'm supposed to go to Tim Spaulding's parents house for an LT cookout on Saturday, and I'll have my business cards along. Worst that can happen is that I can pick up some tips from Tim about how to go about learning PHP and MySQL. It turns out that Abby is ex-Houghton Mifflin, so I've got some possible networking ins, there too.

Tom, Lotus has mostly moved out to Rt 128 at this point, since the IBM takeover. I drive past the old buildings in Cambridge and occasionally sob. ;-)
