My DH turned his ankle last night playing Ultimate, and it's swollen and purple-ish. Normally, he's a very bad (and annoying) patient but I put HP7 into his hands last night after getting him home, and he was content to sit there most of the day. Instead of having to entertain him, I only had to show up with ice every once in a while. His only special request was that I hunt & gather him a cinnamon roll when I went to the Farmer's Market.

I have no idea how to keep him occupied tomorrow.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Poor DH. Perhaps he can reread the series tomorrow.

OMG I'm the laziest person in the world.

Naaaaaaah. I could totally beat you. Except that would take effort, so I'll just say it without backing it up with any proof, y'knwo?

I just hope he's able to hobble around enough to go to Bush Gardens with the niecephews this week. I mentioned the possibility of getting him a wheelchair for the day so he didn't have to walk between rides, and that didn't meet any resistance, so I suspect he's worried about this, too.

I suspect the true laziest person will never get up the energy to post about it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Poor DH, Sparky!

That is rough, Sparky. I hope the ankle heals up well.

Poor DH, Sparky!

Thanks, Jesse (eta: and Lee). Having that book was a very good thing. I'm wondering if I can find a pool for him to swim in or something tomorrow so he can get some exercise. If we can immobilize his ankle, he could paddle around some and burn off some cabin fever -- which is going to be the toughest part of this for him to deal with, I'm sure.

If anyone has any other ideas for exercise without ankle, I'd love to hear them. We have no gym memberships at the moment, so I can't tie him to a stationary bicycle and let him work one of those with three limbs.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

If anyone has any other ideas for exercise without ankle, I'd love to hear them.

Situps? Crunches? Chinning bar? Pushups from the knee? Dumbells?

Time to build up that upper body! Yay?

which is going to be the toughest part of this for him to deal with, I'm sure.

Toughest for him to deal with, or for you?
