You know what they say about payback? Well I'm the bitch.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Oh, man, I wish we had a Jazz & Rib Fest! But I guess we'd have to have a riverfront for that.

Tour continues weird, and I'm such a sucker for Boonen.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And cold, cold water. I can't have eggs or most veggies in the fridge if I want the water as cold as I like it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I still want those twice-baked potatoes.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

But I do hope to at least test the CI recipe for spice cake

Oh, me too! (That reminds me, I should add the ingredients to this week's grocery order.)

This is the first one in a while that hasn't been unworkably unseasonal for me. (What crack are they smoking that they think people have access to cranberries in June?)

I see them year-round around here, if not reliably every week. (I also tend to have some in the freezer, but I have no idea if that would break the recipe-testing rules.)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Well, I've got my HP costume done, but I went lazy and relatively sloppy with it. I had cut out letters to pin to the front of the t-shirt, but the paper and pinning did not go well and I was tearing out my hair. So, instead, I sacrificed a red t-shirt (that's too big for me now!) that I cut a rectangle out of, basted the edges to make them even, then just took a black Sharpie and wrote out "Firebolt", then basted it to the front of my black t-shirt. I also stitched two headbands together in the back to create a little pocket to slip the raffia bundle through. Cool thing I didn't notice until I started to sew it was that the headbands have a little "F" in the front! I also cut another piece of the red t-shirt and wrapped it around the bottom of the raffia bundle so it doesn't rub on my neck when I'm wearing it.

I'm heading over there at 9:00 with my camera in hand, but don't start work until 10:00.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am very exciting. I am ordering pizza from a new place.

Other than that, I may just try and hermit this weekend. I didn't have one last weekend, so I'm going to have to take my one day this time round and work it. Book on the beach, perhaps?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

What if I have a special signed copy of the book JUST FOR YOU? Do I have to leave it on your doorstep?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You leave it in the mailbox, with the cigarettes, right?

...oh, wait. That's not ita.

This weekend no can do--but maybe next? I have an exhaustive schedule of rocking myself and crying and I don't think I can fit much else in.

Which isn't to seem ungrateful--I was more aiming for pathetic.
