There is no water at work. A water main is broken right outside our building. In a humane workplace, they might send us home, but not here.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I heard something this morning about an earthquake in the SF area? It sounds like it wasn't too serious, only a 4.2? But I hope folks will report in and let us know they're all right...

The Kerry fundraiser.

The person is saying that I trashed the event all over the net, spread rumors that it wasn't occuring, and then paid to get in.

I'm okay with people not liking my book for all sorts of reasons. I'm not okay with people attacking my integrity.

I responded to the post that everything in the story was in fact true, and posted the relevant discussion links, in which I did some rumor control about a planned meet and greet that was canceled, and then confirmed that the high stakes event would be occuring instead. I was on Joss' guest list for the event because of the work I did on it, so no, I didn't pay to get in.

And also that she was welcome to contact Michael Boretz at Joss Whedon's office to confirm this, since he was the one who asked me to help kill rumors and publicize the event, itself.

The part that really chaps my hide is that I told this woman all of this when it occured in 2004, and she's still spreading the crazy.

Seriously? Don't engage too much with the energy creature, because you can't argue with crazy. The good thing is that eventually the craziness she's trying to spread gets sussed out as such.

The fact that it's the First of such probably makes it worse feeling, but seriously? A small kerfuffle will only add to your publicity.

(BTW, I ordered the book through my local small independent bookstore, so that will be a double mitzvah, helping to publicize it at a venue that is right for it, and patronizing such an establishment.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Awesome photo set taken from the top of the Oakland Bay Bridge: [link]

Gorgeous day for the pictures too.
