It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

FOOD FINALLY.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

hi Susan , how's the baby that isn't a baby anymore.

She's getting to be a big girl. She goes into the preschool room at daycare as soon as there's room for her. She has a great imagination and loves to act out various incidents with her stuffed animals--pirates and detectives being current favorite themes. Sometimes she looks at the illustrations in my research books and gives her interpretation of what's going on in them, heavily influenced by her 3-year-old worldview. I'm pretty sure the Duke of Wellington is still spinning in his grave from when she labeled a handsome equestrian portrait of him as "A pirate!"

Ooh, so every day is Talk Like a Pirate Day. Fun!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Belated Ack, msbelle. I hope it is not Lyme, or that it goes away very quickly if it is.

I have several purses, but I almost never bother to change them, so there's not much point to them other than that they are pretty or fun or cute.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just read that Teri Garr has MS and is in a wheelchair. I had no idea.

I suspected something ages ago when I saw her guest star on some sitcom. She was having trouble walking at that point.

Has anyone here heard of Mad Men on AMC? Vincent Kartheiser. It's about ad men in the 50's in NYC. Oh, the rampant sexism. The drinking and smoking in the office. It's just freaky.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Jen gets it right. Frances likes to type, but as you can see, she can only spell one word consistently. Two words. She also knows her brother's name.

I love watching kids play. Pirates and detectives? They're almost compatible, at least from where I sit watching my son playing trains and princesses.

I credit the Backyardigans (Nick Jr show, for the uninitiated) for a lot of her ideas. Right now she's wearing an adult-sized Auburn baseball cap backwards, rally cap style, and calling it her "mystery hat." She says it's a mystery and we need to look for clues. She claims she's following pawprints across the floor.

It's as cute as can be.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Bags are a big thing here.

I can clearly never leave this coast.

You can come to New York and be bagless with me.

Well, not bag less, just bag uncaring.
