The status is NOT quo.

What Jessica said, only re: Connecticut.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Where's Kurt Russell when you need him?

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, "Give me your best shot. I can take it."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It stopped raining here hours ago! As far as I can tell.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Unfortunately, the damage is done with flights, at least to places like New Orleans who probably only have a few flights a day to New York per airline.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It turns out what I have is a nasty cold. I don't have a fever, so it it didnt occur to me.

I very nice doctor across the street from me took me, my insurance, my ten dollar co-pay, and said if I don't feel better in a couple of days, to come in first thing Saturday morning.

Good: I don't have an ear infection.

Bad: No visiting Grace or Noah for about a week.

Well, a cold is better than a lot of things, anyway, Allyson.

Yeah, that sucks for them.

God, it is nearly impossible for me to do any work this week. Most of the higher-ups are out of pocket most of the week, it's sleepy weather, and I'm just not in the mood. Of course there are things I could do in the absence of higher-ups, but just... eh.

I am once again contemplating taking a week off to stay at home. Oh! There's something semi-useful I could do: figure out my leave balance. Because god forbid it should be automated or provided to me in any way.
