Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Work internet is still down. Bah. And I'm on hold with Comcast, so napping is out....

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Thanks!!!!!!!!

I love the new cover so much!

And the layout is adorable. Every chapter starts with the wee mouse peeking out from the top of the page.

Between my boss and I, we've been on hold with Comcast for over three hours. Can someone do me a favor and see if they have some widespread service outage in the Evanston area?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

And the layout is adorable. Every chapter starts with the wee mouse peeking out from the top of the page.

That's great.

Man was not an accident

One of the things that is frustrating about critics of evolution is that none of them seem to know anything about it. Evolution does not happen randomly or accidentally. Natural selection is based on consequences. For an individual organism, aspects of selection may seem random, but in the aggregate the process is highly predictable. Natural selection is not accidental. Natural selection is an inexorable processor of information about the natural world, transcribing data about the world into the information storage devices that we call species. Man was not an accident. But that is the central message of evolution, not a reason to reject evolution.

So, first of all, my computer is alive again! Well, not exactly, since it's a different computer. But most of my stuff was copied to it, I didn't lose everything, and slowly and gradually I'm house-breaking it to become my computer, rather than just "a" working computer. So that's good.

And now, since I will probably not have and computer access tomorrow anyway, even though there's already a computer to access again, I can post that according to Jon B. "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Jun 2, 2005 6:29:58 pm PDT, tomorrow, June 1, will be Jon and FAQwife's anniversary, and to wish them both a great day and a wonderful year together.
