Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I was just thinking pressure bruises myself. My mom gets those all the time—her arms might as well be bananas for how easily the skin bruises.

Newp. I'm gonna try to see if I use the arms of my work chair (balance ball at home, laptop. No elbowing,) but I don't think I do, just because I sit on the edge of it with my feet either stretched all the way out or balanced precariously, with them tucked nearly backwards behind me a la those backless knee chairs. I'm so non-ergo.

OTOH, I can be ridiculously clumsy, so random bashing is also a possibility.

And I do bruise easily. Kneeling accomplishes it.

It looks like Sis and future BIL will be renting a house in Chatsworth, CA, just west of Northridge. They also applied for a house in Winnetka, but they like the first one better. He'll be working downtown, though, so his commute will be about 35 miles or so. She's guessing it'll take an hour to drive it, I'm guessing a bit more. They do have some grass in the backyard for their three lapdogs, but the big plus is the pool. Also, they'll have a (small) master bath, something most of the houses they were looking at didn't have.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Juliana

Ear infections aren't usually contagious per se. They usually are a secondary bacterial infection that occurs in the ear as a result of poor drainage. The primary infection is usually viral (a cold) (which is contagious, of course). Kids get them so much more often than adults because the tubes that drain the ears are really tiny in kids, so it's much easier to build up fluid that then festers from the zillions of bacteria that are hanging around the body anyway.

Aaaaand, Happy Birthday Juliana, may you have no ear infections this year!
