Is Mattias pronounced Mat-EE-as, or Mat-EYE-as?
My grandfather has always pronounced it Mat-EE-as, so that's the way we went. I've always thought it was a cool name, and it shortens to a very common nickname, so we sort of got the best of both worlds out of it.
As for the watching a live birth as birth control thing mentioned earlier, I agree whole-heartedly as it's still very vivid in my mind. Real life is not like the movies. Birth is loud and smelly and bloody, even with modern medicine. I am in awe of the gf's ability to go through all that.
The end result is truly wonderful, though.
ETA: Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures. And I just realized I'm up way later than I intended. Off to bed so I can get back to the hospital early tomorrow.

CatCam: Pictures taken by a cat. No, really. Actually, this guy attached a miniature camera to his cat's collar, which was programmed to take a picture at regular intervals. Then the cat went outdoors and did its thing - traveling through the neighborhood and nearby woods, watching birds, meeting other cats, having adventures....

NBA: No clue about the sports whitefont custom. The last 2 games were filled with awesome and so completely different. Go LeBron! Go Boobie! I hate that every person around me here and on the tv is dismissing any possibility of the Cavs doing well in the Finals. They are going to show up to play. Also, I know the last foul call on Wallace was bogus, but I have no respect for his lack of control. Poopyhead.
