I'm very sorry if she tipped off anyone about your cunningly concealed herd of cows.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Something about basketball I think.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Aurelia that space looks so familiar. Where did you photo the giant mirrored skill?

Chicago Cultural Center. Right there in the lobby.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hehe. NBA:

Man, only the third team ever to come back from down 2-0! And first that keraaazy game from LeBron! And tonight it was Boobie! Whoo, Boobie! (I'll have you know that that phrasing was just for Buffistas. I'm resisting the urge to unwhitefont just that bit.) But, srlsy! He was unstoppable tonight!

I am excited.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone seen the comic Minus? It's strange and awesome, in a sorta' somewhat gothy, Calvin & Hobbes kind of way. It stars a little girl who apparently has the ability to alter reality into stuff she wants. This one and the following couple of comics are cool: [link]

eta: This is a cool standalone comic: [link]

Oh, my goodness - Mattias is a darling little cutie-head of adorability.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Kalshane, those are wonderful pictures.

Because books.

Aw, Mattias! Waving his wee splinted IV'd arm about! With huge binkie!

Keep getting better, buddy! Mom and Dad want you home.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Mattias is so adorable. He looks so big in his closeups, and so very tiny in his parents arms. And so much hair! Wow!

I really like that comic a lot, tommy. Thanks for sharing.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I skimmed through here. If it weren't for the recent thread change, I never would have made it.

Thanks, everyone, for the congrats and well-wishes.

Is Mattias pronounced Mat-EE-as, or Mat-EYE-as?

My grandfather has always pronounced it Mat-EE-as, so that's the way we went. I've always thought it was a cool name, and it shortens to a very common nickname, so we sort of got the best of both worlds out of it.

As for the watching a live birth as birth control thing mentioned earlier, I agree whole-heartedly as it's still very vivid in my mind. Real life is not like the movies. Birth is loud and smelly and bloody, even with modern medicine. I am in awe of the gf's ability to go through all that.

The end result is truly wonderful, though.

ETA: Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures. And I just realized I'm up way later than I intended. Off to bed so I can get back to the hospital early tomorrow.
