I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Juliana is me. But we knew that.

Though Vortex's twins are more impressive than mine.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I want a nap so much. The state of Mississippi called and woke me up this morning.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And I am making plans for next year. I just realized if I could find a job in Portland Unified School District for next year, I would get paid as much as I get paid now. Hmmm... must consider a move in the very near future.
Yes! And it's cheaper to live here. Plus? PRETTY!

Tonight we plan to roam the Pearl District, and/or 23rd street. Not sure.
Both are excellent wandering spots. Even if we call 23rd, Trendy Third. I actually need to head over that way eventually. It's where we keep the Lush.

I don't know about cruising in other places, but I know that the big cruise ships up here often cruise by some of the best scenery at night, and can't get in close enough to the really gorgeous stuff. There are some smaller cruise lines that run ships that carry 75-300 people, as opposed to thousands, that can actually get in closer to the coast. These lines tend to focus more on where you are, rather than just a generic experience. They also tend to provide more education (like about the natural history and history of an area).
Alaska, on a small boat, is really a cruise I want to take one day.

Someone please remind me I need to get scrubbing bubbles and toothpaste. In the past 4 days, I've shopped at 4 places where I could acquire both and forgot those every single time.
This is me with clicky fire. I've run every single lighter I have out. How can I live without fire?

Scrubbing bubbles has no grit!

I so totally wish they made scrubbing bubbles for teeth. Alas, the technology remains softscrub. Which I actually had to use on the tub because of aforementioned lack of s.b. and given the arrangement of my bathroom, makes for awkward contortions.

Ahrg, all this talk of cruises and whatnot makes me realize I need to get my act together for the summer and I just don't wanna look for fares.

I have an embarrassment of lighters and fire devices. I'll toss some from the balcony in your general direction.

Except my balcony faces southest, so I don't think this will work.

What did Mississippi want?

They were actually returning my call, so I can't complain. I just wish Mississippi had slept in a little bit.

brillig

I love my company.

The accounting department is tired of us hourly people sending in hours every two weeks and making them have to calculate pay for one department in one subsidiary, so they've made us salary. We still get paid for the OT we earn, however.

Alas, making our pay schedule match the salaried pay schedules put the total pay amounts out of kilter. "Oh, well," the higher ups said, "just give them an extra paycheck to make it all even." This is the second time they've said, "Oh, just throw in some extra money to even stuff up."

Plus, this is the company that said, "You have health insurance from day one. No waiting period. No, really, if we hire you, you're insured. Yes, even you with the husband way past warranty."

I didn't think companies like this really existed in this right-to-work state. Plus we're benefitting from having the accounting decisions being controlled by a company back east.

Must make sure never to lose this job. Must make sure never to lose this job.
