Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The singles map

Where there is an excess of single men, single women, etc. Huh - Chicago has 40,000 more single women than men. What's weird is the West coast in general has more single men, and in the Midwest and East coast it tends to be the opposite.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I knew there was a reason it's so hard to find a single man in NYC!!

I am super cranky today, and would be really glad not to have a meeting with the Big Boss today, except, oops, she thought we did have one. @@

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

But do they mean single heterosexuals or not? Cause that might make a difference.

If it includes the single gays, then things in New York are even worse (for me) than they look! I was wondering that, too.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I knew there was a reason it's so hard to find a single man in NYC!!

Between that and all the craxy at work, it's like the universe is trying to tell you something about which coast you should be living on. Really. How can a cowgirl be truly happy in New York City?

Sincerely,

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And is her hair the shortest it has ever been?

Yes it is.

It's like she gave you a birthday present a couple of weeks before the actual date, or something.

I thought it was pretty generous of her. Particularly since she went to the salon on her own and without my direction.

Trust me, I've shown my appreciation.

My best friend is in Stanford right now. And her two sons (well, they're 2.5 and 6 months old, so they're probably not actually in the university itself, but still). How come you get some of my favorite people, too, without even knowing them?

I guess you should come out here and introduce us, huh?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

You never know. Stanford gets some very gifted students.
