Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Huh. Apparently I have a dual layer DVD burner.

So...if almost all of a season fits on a single layer disc, and almost all of two seasons will likely fit on a double layer disc, I either have to get over it or waste a bunch of space to keep my boundaries in place...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Huh, no. I guess I'm getting 2.5 less oxy. Which is dumb, since the first scrip said 1-2 every six hours and this says no more than 1 a day.

Oh, yup, I reversed them. I thought you could have 1000 of tylenol a day, though.

It makes the new prescription even less useful than I thought it was. If it's fewer pills less often with less medicine, what am I being rescued from again? The sugar plum fairy?

Good god.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, Cass!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My previous prescription of Percocet was of 10-325mg pills (which is not 10 pills of 325mg each), and this new one is 7.5-500mg.

This sucks, in part because you'd end up taking more Tylenol, which is more likely to hurt you than the oxycodone.

ita, did you see this NY Times article about pain management [link]

Damn, Ginger, that's scary shit.

I need to read some of the sidebar articles too.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just called my father to wish him happy father's day.

The conversation went something like this.

Me: Happy father's day!
him: Thanks. What are you up to?
Me: nothing much. One of the cats almost died yesterday, but he seems to be getting better.
Him: Oh. How's work?
Me: same old same old. What are you up to?
Him: Sleeping mostly.
Me: Oh. Have you been to any interesting lectures or anything?
Him: Today's was short. Hey, are you going to come out anytime soon?
Me: I hope so. We should plan that.
Him: Yes. You should also think about what you want us to do when one of our doctor's tells [your mother] or I that we are going to die soon. Should we tell you, or ignore you? That's probably going to happen in the next few years you know.
Me: Of course I want you to tell me. Why would I want you to ignore me?
Him: Well, we don't want to be a burden.
Me: ....
Him: Well, think about it. Bye!

Eep, Lee.

Well, I've taken two of the Percocets and I have as much of a headache as I had before, so I just took drugs for no reason. I HATE that shit.

But see, if I did that, the surviving parent might well call me and say "so we just buried your [mother/father]'s ashes at sea. It was nice. So how's work?"
