I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

ita, I think your revised letter is MUCH clearer. I might add something about the point being to REDUCE narcotic use and possible dependance, and his actions causing MORE narcotic use (at the time) with no reduced pain--but I'd take out the "pain down to a 7" or whatever, because it just sounds too..something. Perhaps after the "he decided only to administer Dilaudid" bit. You say it in the first paragraph about the plan with the other doctors, but not in the "what he actually did" para.

And definitely add what Kat said about hoping someone has a word with him about how to (a) assess a patient (b) take a medical history and (c) ensure a treatment is successful. Sure, you just left in pain. What if you'd been in pain because you were having a heart attack, and he didn't listen that you were still in pain, and let you go home and DIE? That's not effective, nor is it a good plan for the hospital (that, they could get sued for). Not that you should add that scenario, but.

Okay, so check this out. I put the coffee table... IN FRONT of the futon! So I can sit on the futon and put something on the table! Like a meal! Or stuff! Mostly, it appears, the coffee table will be holding a cat. To be fair, I did just take away her two favorite lounging places, so I probably owe her.

Also, Firefox doesn't recognize the word "okay". It suggests "Tokay".

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We need to do some cleaning this weekend. Ugh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I should either take my comforters to the laundrymat or clean my apartment. I want to either take a nap or take a bath.

Corwood, that was totally interesting and sad in some cases. Thanks for sharing. I like how one of the families recipes was for pig's knuckles (EW).

I was particularly interested in the difference in how much fresh produce they eat. Like, Ecuador: nothing BUT produce; Mexico and Egypt: PRODUCE; Japan and the U.S. and Mongolia: No produce; Chad: ... nothing at all.

What's that screaming and groaning I'm hearing?

So tell me, do I really want to go to Pennsic this year? Pre-reg closes today.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do you have anything to wear?

Thanks for the guidelines with the letter, guys. I may or may not put kat-like justification in. Still undecided.

Next question up, though: where do I send it? I was all gung ho, but not thinking. I'll make sure insurance gets a copy but I'm really blanking on where to start.
