If you were a *new US citizen* and someone handed you a brochure about being an american and a US citizen, would you find the president's picture on the brochure to be patriotic or irritating? eta: I could change the president's picture to a flag or something
Nattering along, here's an amusing video. The mathematically inclined may find the name amusing.

When other medical professionals have devised a treatment plan that's meant to be carried out by another doctor (meaning, the neurologist and migraine specialist came up with the plan intending for an ER doctor to carry it out), and the doctor ignores that treatment plan, I would call that negligentBut the question is what can the clinic do-- doctors should have the right to make an independent diagnosis, and I would wonder how much Monday-morning quarterbacking the clinic is permitted when there's no clear evidence of mistake. I wouldn't call failing to follow a specialist's recommendation clear mistake, especially when a reason is given. That's why I think it's important to point to the circumstances other than just simply making a different diagnosis.

My doctor issue today had me snap at a resident surgeon (No. I won't give you consent to do a biopsy until I actually speak to the attending neonatalogist who has not spoken to me once since Grace arrived at the hospital 3 days ago) and at the attending (A breathing machine? Really? She's on a pressurized ventilator currently, as opposed to receiving extracoporeal membraneous oxygen or being on a high pressure oscillating vent. I don't need to be talked down to as I have been on this ride with both of my children for the past 12 weeks).
My good mood is evaporating. Someone want to write a letter for me too?
