Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, you just say that because Ozzie's gonna kill me. Eventually.

How are you doing, lovely woman?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I am well. Getting up the courage to go and clean the litter box; it's trash day.

Oooh, I never told you, but I met Max Papis and Ron Fellows (24 Hours of Le Mans, American Le Mans, Rolex Sport Car, and NASCAR) last month. 'Twas very, very interesting. Max and I had a wonderful conversation in Italian and he showed off pictures of his newborn son.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Yay again for the MoonBones!

Zaphod? For reals? OH MY GOD I LOVE IT!!!!!!

This. So much this.

Awesome link connie! I sent it to everyone to prove I do have a squishy marshmellow inside.

Mr. Jane is trying to put up some video from his high school days including a senior party with his first time behind a bar (so cool he's got that on film). It's from back when 18 was still legal, so there's a bunch of 18 year old kids loading up on a bus to go to a bar for their Senior Party.

He's also puting up my favorite in this series, his Ring Ceremony from his Jr. year. Sounds pretty boring, a bunch of kids having their names called to go up to the stage and get their rings. Our friend M, in true M fashion made this ceremony legendary. It was still talked about when I got there (I'm 5 years behind Mr. Jane).

Thing I didn't say at a housing luncheon today: "Um, please do not assume we're all Christian."

Oh! I adore Mad Max. For ages and ages. And he's the charmingest dad, too. Married to Emmo's daughter, yes? That child is quite the racing royalty, really.

How lovely!

And Fellows is just ... dude, it's Ron Fellows. They ran white cars in his honor a few races ago. Because he is *just* *that* *cool.*

Litter boxes are terrifying. I cleaned mine today but I loathed it. I want to never have to do that again.

I am so amused that there were wicked cool racing people around and you thought of me. Because those boys? Really cool.

Yes, Tatiana. Marco is the son, and royalty is right.

It was totally awesome, and I'm very lucky that work provides me with these opportunities. I'm more of a F1 girl, so it was a great chance to learn about circuits that are less-known to me.

Did you know that Chevy created a limited-edition Ron Fellows Corvette? It is beeee-yoooooooo-tiful. I want one.

The only racing experience that tops this one was meeting Mario Andretti years ago at a fundraiser and being assigned to stick by his mother all evening because she thought I was a good girl, who also speaks Italian.

I am so amused that there were wicked cool racing people around and you thought of me. Because those boys? Really cool.

Of course I thought of you. The whole time I was in Charlotte I kept muttering to myself that Cass should be here. It was a racing-related three days. (Hendrick Motor Sports tour! Wow.)

Thing I didn't say at a housing luncheon today: "Um, please do not assume we're all Christian."

You should have. It would have been awesome to watch their heads explode. Plus, you wouldn't have to clean up the mess.

Such royalty. Like whoa. I fangirl both of them crazy.

You are watching this weekend, yes? There is crazy coverage for the US GP. And then back to Europe and bits like Eau Rivage at Belgium because it might be the best corner ever in motorsports.

The shiny, shiny pearly white, yes! It's ... wow.

You know I hate you, yeah? Or, mostly, I just want to *be* you.

I am so amused that there were wicked cool racing people around and you thought of me. Because those boys? Really cool.

Aw... You are so sweet to me.

I really should have been there, though. Why does my life not revolve around good tracks and drivers? Charlotte is a good track, I could be there...

You are watching this weekend, yes?

If I get the chance. I'll be working in the restaurant this weekend, so it may be on TiFaux delay (if I manage to get my recordings under 90% capacity). I should really take a look at the upcoming schedule.

The shiny, shiny pearly white, yes! It's ... wow.

Uh huh. I think I'm going to be able to drive one of the demos around the track if my next trip to HQ is timed right.

You know I hate you, yeah? Or, mostly, I just want to *be* you.

I could say the same, dear.

I really should have been there, though. Why does my life not revolve around good tracks and drivers? Charlotte is a good track, I could be there...

You so should have. We would have made a memorable pair. Legendary, even.

My entire life is often on TiFaux delay. But there is just masses of coverage this weekend. It's a lovely embarrassment of riches.

I could say the same, dear.
You are sweet and entirely too kind. And you get to drive the shiny sparkling white Corvette so I kinda hate you a little. It's a really shiny car.

We would have made a memorable pair. Legendary, even.
Totally legendary. Really, it would have been amazing for them as well.

Damn, I have missed you, Maria. Crazy life getting in the way of fawning on you...

I've missed you too. There's that whole "middle of the country" thing that makes it difficult as well.

We really should figure out how to put life in its place. We'd become millionaires.

And with that pipe dream, I'm off to catch some shut-eye. 'Night all.

I, for one, am tired of that curvature of the earth thing.
