I look more rad than Lutheranism

I have been looking at pictures of dudes making out. It's hard to be angry at the world when I'm too busy spinning around in my chair making "EE HEE HEE" noises.

When we went to the Pride festival this weekend, I kept trying to get The Boy to make out with dudes.

I even pulled the "If you loved me, you'd do it," line, but he still refused.

I don't know what kind of world this is, when a gal can't get her boyfriend to make out with other guys in front of her.

Clearly, the terrorists have already won.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

So sorry to hear about Teddy, Fred. I hope that he's in as little pain as possible.

Congrats to Lyra Jane, and the forthcoming birth of the Littlest Alter!!

Speaking of guys making out, I was reading the EW interview with Brad Pitt and George Clooney, and they were teasing us again by talking about the first time they met--

"It was at the bathhouses, right?"
"Yeah, you were wearing that leather mask..."

Finally, I had a dream that I actually remembered this morning, and I know it was a very unrealistic dream since it was about (a) me shopping for shoes and actually enjoying the process, and (b) me finding a pair of 4-inch tall strappy spikes and finding them comfortable.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I wonder if the fact that I just overheard my boss having a screaming fight (with her husband, I hope) will affect (effect? I can never get that right!) our 2:30 meeting?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Affect.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Phew. Mostly I just reframe the sentence.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Affect is a verb most of the time, and effect is a noun most of the time.

Ah -- excellent. Maybe I can actually keep that straight now? Because I know for sure to talk about a person's flat affect, or whatever.
