Re: Hell's Kitchen Second week and they already did a full service -- that's pretty good. And I cannot believe that at the beginning of the day - the contestants actually believed they were getting rewarded with a fishing trip. After totally failing to even get appetizers out before running out of all food. Also, why didn't Rock get rid of Aaron? Does he just figure Aaron is going to go anyway and this way he ditches two rivals for the price of one ?

The individual ones.
Mine too. No salad though
I guess, sumi, but it's pretty short-sighted - having him on the team is basically being a man down to begin with. If they hadn't royally screwed themselves regardless, I'd have said that GR did them a favor kicking him to the dining room.
Plus, seriously, that man is not well. He needs to be in therapy or something, not on a reality show.
Sumi, on HK, I figure that yeah, Aaron's toast one way or the other, so I figure he was more trying to get rid of the guy who's name I can't remember who wasn't Eddie. I gotta say, as bad as some of the Waffle House cracks were about Julia (?), the shots at Eddie, while some were deserved given his lack of compatence/confidence, were a bit more disturbing when they focused on his size. I know kitchens can be brutal, socially Darwinian places, but several of them were when he wasn't there (and from Ramsey). I lost a little respect for the tyrant on those slurs.
hmm, I should take that supertaster test. Pretty sure I'm not one, as I have a preference for bitter over sweet usually (except for beer). I think my bro and sister are supersmellers, if that exists. My sister can use her nose to help her diagnose patients.
huh. I got supertaster. I somehow doubt that, I think I just like food and pay more attention to it than they were expecting. I'm betting I shoulda been a normal taster.
I love olives, cabbage, good beer, coffee.
I can't stand shrimp, crab, salmon, lobster or anything with those flavors.
I've got an ex gf who I thought was ridiculously picky about food. Now I wonder if she's a supertaster and I feel kinda sorry for her.
The mitochondrial DNA testing package. It's not cheap, and apparently they're on back order. But I like the very idea of it, even if I don't discover anything new (though I'll die laughing if there's any Asian there) submitting my results to the pool strikes me as a nifty thing to do.
I know what I want for my birthday next year.
I ordered the testing kit, too! I'm especially interested to see if there's any identifiable Amerind genes floating around in the family tree via my maternal grandfather's family.
In a weird way, it's a gift I can share with my whole family!
