I like pancakes 'cause they're stackable. Ooo, and waffles 'cause you can put things in the little holes if you wanted to.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, peering at my tongue in a pocket mirror without the benefit of dye or a reinforcement ring leads me to believe I'm a normal-to-nontaster. I think I only came up supertaster on the quiz because I like to try little bits of everything and try to analyze the flavors, but that's just because I'm interested.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

All that taster poking around led me to sign up for that maternal DNA test from National Geographic. Don't ask. I have click proliferation issues.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Link to the test, ita? That sounds like the kind of thing I'd do.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

ITA. Celery isn't even food - just roughage and water.

Also, a spice. It has a very distinct flavor. I don't like it as filler, but I love it as and onion/pepper/leek/garlic type of veggie, though it's much subtler.

Anyone see Hell's Kitchen tonight? I think I'm addicted (again). Ramsey is just such a bizarro combination of tyrant and benevolant despot. The big thing is what gets out to the customer. He'd rather they get no food instead of bad food, at least in this environment; I assume folks who come to the place must realize they may not get anything (or get it hours later).

Also, still really liking the US Creature Comforts. It hasn't made me guffaw yet, but it's made me smile both episodes.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm eating spinach (spanikopita) for dinner, AIFG.

We did too. Trader Joe's.

Mine too. The individual ones, or the pie?

The individual ones. We also had salad. Just simple: baby lettuce & spinach, tomato, romano caesar dressing and croutons.

Art Crawl!!!

Re: Hell's Kitchen Second week and they already did a full service -- that's pretty good. And I cannot believe that at the beginning of the day - the contestants actually believed they were getting rewarded with a fishing trip. After totally failing to even get appetizers out before running out of all food. Also, why didn't Rock get rid of Aaron? Does he just figure Aaron is going to go anyway and this way he ditches two rivals for the price of one ?
