Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

The chances of me being on either show, or even ending up on the tipity top of the slush pile are slim to none, yall know that, right?

Though I love that you're thinking it's possible. I love it. Makes me squee.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Allyson! This is so friggin' exciting! I just got goosebumps reading the PR. You are such a ROCK STAR and I can't think of anyone who deserves it more. It's like all your good karma came back to you in this lifetime.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am so totally not an introverted geek. Other than that, it's a good press release.

I wish I had pimpier avenues, Allyson. Someone else managed to bring the book up in my WX hangout before I mentioned it, so I suck.

I do have a cousin in the bookstore business, but she kinda used to live in Ann Arbor if you catch my meaning.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Good press release, Allyson.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm eating an apple right now instead of the leftover pan-fried pork dumplings in my fridge. I get points from someone for that, right? Hec?

I validate your dietary choice! Five points!

I want to see Allyson on TV!

Don't worry about expectations. At the very, very, very least you'll earn your publisher back what they spent on you and that's way better than most books. The more likely scenario is that they'll make some good money on it and you'll get to do another book. And there's the outside chance that it'll get huge and everybody rolls around in bed eating truffles for months. After which it gets optioned and turned into a Judd Apatow movie and you get to buy a cute bungalow in Pasadena.

OK, what foods absolutely do not belong in sushi?

One of the local sushi restaurants has a Philly steak and cheese hand roll. Not a Philly roll with salmon and cream cheese. Steak and cheese.

If anyone sees my motivation fleeing for the border, tell it to send me a postcard.

Is the steak cooked? Because I do like beef sashimi, and am now really wanting raw beef and cream cheese with some soury sweet rice.

Or would if I could stomach red meat at the moment.

I was too repulsed by the thought to order one and see. But given the clientelle, I would assume cooked. Possibly with the cheese being of the whiz variety.

My favorite thing at Roy's is the Lakanilau Roll, which is seared kobe beef and crab dynamite. YUM.

Of course, now I'm hungry and want to go get some.
