This is pretty cool--the Paris Metro is renovating one of its stops, and they broke through a "fake" wall that covered up a section that had last been seen back in 1959. There's a few really neat advertising posters from that time period being revealed.

It's creepy familial subtext.
Not least because she doesn't look old enough to be the mother of a child old enough to read that ad. Much less buy an airline ticket.

What I find kind of cool about the ad is that she's got lines underneath her eyes, just like a real person. Amazing! No airbrushing!
Oooh, Kathy, that is extremely cool! Those posters are amazing. Love the Marcel Marceau notice: La Compagnie des Mimes, Paris Qui Rit, Paris Qui Pleure

Has anyone seen a Brit show called Jonathon Creek? It is also at Amazon and looks intriguing but I'm wary of the sight unseen purchase.

It's very British, fairly typical mystery stuff. ASH is in the first episode. The real attraction is Alan Davies as Jonathan Creek, if you like your guys British, slightly pasty, and smart.
Beej, I've watched it a few times on BBC America and liked it.
I'd recommend against buying it sight unseen, Beej. Principle thing.
I liked it well enough, but didn't love it.
