I'm very sorry if she tipped off anyone about your cunningly concealed herd of cows.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The hearing was requested by the city attorney's office, which had prosecuted Hilton and wanted Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca held in contempt for deciding to reassign Hilton to home detention despite the judge's express order that she must serve her time in jail.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks for linking to the AP story on NPR, Tom -- it made me feel very higbrow about the whole thing.

I wonder if Al Sharpton will cancel his rally now

You know, as much as Al Sharpton's antics bug me sometimes, I'm glad that he's getting all het up about this. How many "non-heiress" people are serving longer terms than Paris for doing the exact same thing?? That's where the media should be looking, instead of tying up traffic in West Hollywood.

Not only that, but Paris has enough dough to have someone at her beck and call to drive her ass around LA. What a dumbass!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

They never should have let her out in the first place. How anyone could have thought that was a good idea, I'll never know. I think they're lucky they didn't have rioting. Totally racist and classist. Effers.

Yeah, I found this whole thing of no interest until this happened. Totally mindboggling.

Well, it happens all the time here. People who are sent to jail on, say, a DUI often get released an hour later, due to the serious overcrowding issues and the Federal court order to improve conditions.

I'm sure having her there is a resource issue but I don't know how the Sheriff's Dept. didn't realize this would turn into a PR nightmare. They should have just sucked it up.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Not only that, but Paris has enough dough to have someone at her beck and call to drive her ass around LA. What a dumbass!

Didn't somebody, a musician or someone, do a PSA about drunk driving that was basically - "Don't drink and drive. I follow this rule by having a driver"

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I noticed in that NPR link that she is now having to server out the original sentence of 45 days. They had lowered it to 23 I think. What a moron she is.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Oh wait, that's right she was going to have a nervous breakdown...eyeroll

My severely schizophrenic brother had to spend TWO WHOLE YEARS in PRISON (not county jail) for repeat DUI's and driving while suspended. He didn't get his meds in jail and the prosecutor resisted every one of my attempts to get him out and into a mental hospital. Guess how much sympathy I have for Paris Hilton? Zero. Link NOT safe for work.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The article I just read pointed out that they let her out for her "health issue," not overcrowding, so it sounds like just bad decision upon bad decision.

I hate to admit it, but Sharpton had a good point this morning. If it had been the daughter of a white accountant or black sports star, it wouldn't have happened.

Question -- do we think that it would have happened if it had been Nicole Ritchie?
