I can sort of understand what they are trying to get at, but fandoms don't just form about cult tv or movies. Heck the NFL can be considered to have a fandom, but nobody would call it a cult sport.

My advice is not to obsess over the subtitle -- it's the title in BIG letters, and the cute graphic that most buyers will register at a glance. Then there will be the copy on the back, et cetera. Do not sweat the small stuff.
