I told them it sounds like I'm a fan of cults.
Yeah...it's just a weird word to have on the cover. I don't understand why the marketing people seem so allergic to the word "online." It's a perfectly good buzzword!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ooh!
We didn't have DARE at my school, that I remember. I feel like those druggie time-lapse photo series would be the best anti-drug message for anyone. That and meth-mouth.
My advice is not to obsess over the subtitle -- it's the title in BIG letters, and the cute graphic that most buyers will register at a glance. Then there will be the copy on the back, et cetera. Do not sweat the small stuff.
I have to get over this shit and be fucking grateful.
Yes, you must chill. Although, frankly, I would totally be bugged by the "wrong" subtitle myself. Still, if I was, I know my friends would tell me to chill, so there ya go.

This is pretty awesome. You've got SWAG!
Allyson, I am sorry that this has been such a source of frustration and upset for you.
Thank you for your happy lists.
Mine today includes Noah's respiratory therapist, who reminds me of Harold or Kumar, saying, "this will be the first of many pipes." Um. Dude. Wha? It was funny.
Also good, someone gave me The Mermaid Chair to read.
Gud, happy birthday to Leif. I have such mixed feelings on homeschooling. I admire anyone who is willing to examine it with frankness and openness. It is hard and I hope that it won't remain so.
The only I remember about drug education in middle school is the surveys they would give us to fill out. I got one in my Basic Math class (I had an interesting middle school being in Advanced classes for stuff like Langauge Arts and History but Basic for Math and Science) and almost everyone in the class lied on the survey.
Lying on everything from the demographic information (claiming to be the opposite sex and in their 30s or 40s) to the actual drug use. We probably had assemblies but I usually day dreamed my way through those.
Gud, could you at least get your daughter into Sunday School classes for the socialization?

It seems to me that "cult" would make more average people pick up the book than "online" or whatever, because with the first, they're thinking, "WTF? There are people who are fans of cults??" and with the second they're thinking "Oh, a book about losers sitting at their computers."
